Santa Clause is coming to town...

SWEET FACE
CARROTS ARE HER FAVORITE...TO EAT, AND TO WEAR.

GETTING TEETH IS FOR THE BIRDS!!

SHE CRIES IF YOU TAKE TOO LONG BETWEEN BITES.

MMM... SQUASH.

HER FIRST BITE EVER. NOT QUITE SURE WHAT TO THINK.

LOOK AT ALL THAT DROOL. HAHA.
MAKING SNOW ANGELS.
HELPING DADDY AND I DECORATE THE TREE
MEETING SANTA... SHE WOULDNT LOOK AT HIM.
BLOWING SPIT BUBBLES IN THE TUB.
SNUGGLING WITH MOMMY

Only a few days left until Christmas. Wow, this year has really flown by. What a great year it was, though, right? So... Hayden is getting SO BIG. She's 5 months now... and 13 pounds 7 ounces. She's sitting up (for short periods of time), and TEETHING. I had her at the doctor a couple days ago for a synergis shot (a shot they give preemie's to boost their immune systems)... and the nurse pointed out two little white spots...and swollen gums. She's been miserable all day today... even with the assistance of tylenol. I'm really hoping they break through soon. We've had several other firsts happen lately. She saw snow for the first time... ate squash, carrots and greenbeans...and she met SANTA CLAUSE!! She's having "stranger anxiety" these days, so she freaks if anyone tries to hold her or even look at her, if they arent mommy or daddy. So, Meeting santa didnt go over all that well. haha. We're looking forward to spending the Holidays with family. Merry Christmas to all!!

Hello Again...

In front of Nana's Christmas tree in her new Christmas dress
Hayden & her new cousin Nathan. He's not sure what to think of her.

On Thanksgiving... her bib says "I'm Stuffed".

Hanging out with her Grampa... watching TV together.

Nakie Baby... 4 months old

Greetings!

So much to say… so very little time. We are crazy busy in the Ogilvy house these days. Lots of photo shoots, lots of traveling, lots of stuff to do! I find myself working around the house or on the computer until late… wishing there were more hours in the day. Ugh.

Hayden is getting close to 5 months old, but thinks she’s going on 10. She’s so close to sitting up on her own (she’ll tip over after several seconds). If you put her someplace where she is leaned back, she gets mad; she wants to sit like a big girl. We have started her on cereal twice a day, and she loves it. She eats like its going out of style. She definitely got her Daddy’s appetite. She’s rolling over, and getting great at holding her toys. She’s finally beginning to outgrow her newborn onesies… but remains in newborn size pants. I guess she’s got short legs like her Momma.

My sister, brother in law, and niece returned home safely from Vietnam two weeks ago. Nathan Vuong McCrery is HOME!! He’s absolutely precious, and so sweet. He’s full of smiles… and full of beans too! Jen and Brian are desperately working on establishing a routine, and look forward to longer periods of sleep. Sounds familiar. Ha! He is super tiny, but has become quite the eater, so we look for him to bulk up quickly.

The three of us headed to VA to visit Patrick’s side of the family for Thanksgiving. It was Hayden’s first long car ride, and first trip out of state. The way there was better than we could have imagined. She cried only for 20 minutes out of the whole 10 hour drive. WOW. She did a lot of sleeping (shocking), and we did a lot of singing, and playing. I sat in the back, which seemed to work out well. We had a great time visiting, and really enjoyed the extra help with Hayden. We went to his Aunt & Uncles for Thanksgiving, where Hayden experienced her first grease fire. Her and I spent an hour outside waiting for the smoke to clear. FUN. On Saturday, Patrick and I attended his 10 year high school reunion. It was interesting, and made us feel pretty old. I got to meet a couple people that Patrick was friends with back then, and got to see a few friends that I’ve already met. It was nice to go out for the evening, but I think we were both tired, and ready to head home by 9pm. Ha.

We decorated our Christmas tree tonight. We’ve had it up for several days, but wanted to wait for an evening when Hayden wasn’t asleep to help us. We started decorating, and before we got even 5 minutes into it…she had fallen asleep in Patrick’s arms. I guess when you fight your sleep all day long; you can’t make it much later than 7pm.

Smiles & Sleep....Horray!

she managed to break her hand free from the swaddle
Hayden and Daddy sporting "I voted today" stickers!!
Hayden all dressed up for her Aunt Lin's Birthday Party!!
(she wasnt all that excited about the hat)
tummy time!
more tummy time!

We have recently discovered that Hayden has inherited a giant mixture of both mine & Patrick’s sarcastic sense of humor. She has taught herself how to “fake cry” for attention. It’s pretty hilarious. She’ll start this totally fake whimper, and stick her lip out. We will call her out on it… and start laughing. All of a sudden, she’ll bust out in a HUGE grin, and laugh. It’s great. I love it. She’s also recently begun using her hands a lot. She helps us put her paci back in her mouth using her fists. She will also hug her toys up close to her chest. She’s been sleeping SO great through the night. She’ll go down around 8:00pm, and usually sleep until 5am. Sometimes she’ll go back to sleep again, until around 8am. YAY. She’s getting so big.
My sister and Brother-in-law are in Vietnam. They’ll be returning next Saturday as a family of 4!! She called us tonight and let us knows that they officially adopted Nathan yesterday. We could hear him in the background making cute baby noises. Apparently, Rachel is not all that impressed with hearing a baby crying in the middle of the night. Haha. Jen says he laughs at her, and finds her quite entertaining, as Hayden does. We can’t wait for them to get home!
Patrick and I are going to be in a wedding in two weeks. Our dear friends, Josh and Crystal are tying the knot after dating for a little over 6 years! Patrick is a Groomsman, and I am a Bridesmaid. We haven’t been in one together in over 6 years… yes, I’m referring to ours. We are looking forward to walking down the aisle again, and sharing in this special day with our friends. I’ll be sure to post some pictures.
Okay, well.. Kath & Kim is on… its one of our new favorite shows. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out. The humor is similar to that on The Office. Have a fantastic day!

Haydens First Halloween!!

A fish in a bucket. look at that smile.

Patrick teaching Hayden how to make a propper fishy face.

Mommy & her sweet goldfish

I think we enjoyed Haydens first Halloween a little more than she did, but I do believe she'll enjoy looking back at the pictures some day. She looked pretty stinkin cute in her Goldfish costume; helping us hand out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. My mom and dad stopped by, along with my sister and brother in law and my niece. We enjoyed hanging out on the front porch, while watching all the little ones in their costumes. Our friends Todd and Linda stopped by with their son, Carter. He was a cow for Halloween. We got a picture of the Cow and the Goldfish together. It was super cute. Hayden weighs a little over 11 pounds now... and is slowly growing out of the cholic...FINALLY. She is begining to smile a whole lot these days... and it just melts my heart. She tries to put her paci back in her mouth all the time, and the other night she actually succeeded. It was so cute.. she looked so proud of herself! Anyway... things here are good. We're getting really busy with Ogilvy Images. Christmas season is always busy. People want pictures from previous shoots for gifts, and want christmas shoots and christmas cards. busy busy bees are we. OH... and BIG NEWS. My sister and brother in law found out that they will be leaving on Monday evening to go get their son, whom they are adopting from Vietnam. They, along with my niece will be over there for 2 weeks. They will return on the 23rd as an official family of 4. We'd all appreciate prayers for smooth travels and safety for all of them while they are over there! I'll, of course, post pictures when they get back! ps: sorry for the slacking, Melinda... I'll try to keep up better!! hehe. ;)

Hey Again!
Today has been a FANTASTIC day... Hayden has been such a happy girl... we've had so much fun!! I put her in her bumbo for the first time... she loved it!! She can sit up all by herself in it. I was getting her blankets ready to swaddler her, and propped her up on my pillow on the bed. I looked over at her, and she had fallen asleep. TOO CUTE. Anyway... here are some pictures from yesterday and today.

OUR LITTLE GOLDFISH

Things are begining to look up these days. More and more smiles from our angel...every day!! She's found her hands...and is constantly trying to eat them! haha. She loves watching her cousin Rachel. She will stare at her for hours. Its precious. Halloween is coming up. I wasnt going to get Hayden a costume, because I figured she's not going to remember this anyway. Then I decided that she's only little once, and went online searching for the perfect costume. Well, I found it. Its super cute, and she loves it. Okay, well... she doesnt really care.. but, I LOVE it. :) Anyway... hope you all are having a fantastic day!

SHE'S ON THE MOVE...

Hayden is 3 months old now!!! Its hard to believe. She's growing so fast. Well, It feels as if we may finally be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, as far as her Cholic is concerned. There appears to be less and less crying every day. We're getting there. Little by little. Mid morning is her best time of day... which she definitely did NOT get from me! Earlier this week she made a move. I put her on her tummy, and she immediately rolled over to her back. She was SO proud of herself! It was adorable. She had this HUGE smile on her face as if to say.. "HEY, did you see that? Did you see what I just did?". I put her back on her tummy 3 more times, and she proceeded to roll over to her back 3 more times. So its official... she's rolling over. We are so proud. Anyway... just thought I'd share. Also, Hayden has become a master at the "poutty lip". Its pretty hilarious. She has found her daddy's Kryptonite at such a young age!! I posted a few pictures of the lip, and a picture of her smiling. (so you dont think she's so pitiful ALL the time). Have a Fantastic Weekend.
